This policy explains what information SellerSignal (operated by Ven Ventures LLC, Charlotte, NC) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers visitors to sellersignal.io, waitlist signups, and subscribers, and it also explains how we handle property-owner information that appears in the product.

1. Information we collect from you

Paid-pilot product research: your work email, primary 5-digit work ZIP, role, nonbinding volume interest, nonbinding monthly budget range, most-needed capability, optional product-interview preference, consent record, and technical details sent with the request (IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, and campaign/UTM parameters). We use this information to understand genuine demand and willingness to pay, prioritize capabilities, plan possible pilot capacity, invite opted-in people to product-research conversations, measure where responses come from, and prevent abuse. The form does not create a reservation or purchase and does not collect a phone number, street address, or payment.
Site analytics and server logs: first-party event type, timestamp, page path and title, referring page, campaign/UTM parameters, country, IP address, and browser user-agent. We use these records to measure site performance and campaigns, troubleshoot errors, secure the Service, and prevent abuse. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Contact requests: the name, email address, message, attribution fields, IP address, and browser user-agent submitted with a support or contact request.
Subscribers: your name, email, selected ZIP codes, subscription tier, and product activity (e.g., which leads you mark contacted) needed to operate your account.
Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive subscription status and a customer reference from Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Email: we send sign-in links and service emails to the address you provide. We do not sell your email or share it with advertisers.
Referral program: when you follow an activated subscriber's signed referral link, we set a Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax first-party cookie for up to 90 days. It contains a random referral code and random browser secret. We store a one-way hash of the browser secret, landing counts and timestamps, and, if you continue, the related trial request, account, checkout, payment-review, reversal-review, and manual reward status. The referral ledger does not store the landing visitor's raw cookie secret, IP address, browser user-agent, or full referring URL. We use it only to attribute and safely administer the no-cash referral program, prevent duplicate or self-referrals, and review refunds, disputes, and abuse.

2. Property-owner information in the product

The prospects shown in SellerSignal are derived from county property, code-enforcement, tax, market, and other government source data. We organize, score, and present that information for real estate prospecting. We do not provide consumer reports, and our terms prohibit subscribers from using this data for credit, insurance, employment, housing-eligibility, or other FCRA-regulated decisions. If you are a property owner and would like your record suppressed from SellerSignal, email us at the address below and we will remove it from future deliveries.

3. How we use information

To provide and improve the Service, deliver leads, and operate your account.
To send transactional email (sign-in links, receipts, service notices) and, if you opt in, product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time.
To measure marketing (which pages and campaigns bring visitors) and to prevent spam and abuse.
To aggregate consented paid-pilot research interest by role, volume, budget range, most-needed capability, and interview preference without placing email addresses or individual work ZIPs in growth reports.
To attribute activated-user referrals, operate the manual reward-review process, reconcile refunds or disputes, and preserve global prospect-assignment rules.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
We do not share subscriber lists or activity with other subscribers.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run SellerSignal: Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider (transactional email), and our hosting/CDN providers. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

6. Data retention

Waitlist, contact, and account records are kept while relevant to operating the Service. First-party analytics events are retained for up to 180 days. IP address and browser user-agent fields attached to older waitlist or contact records are removed after 180 days. Referral landing records that never bind to a trial request, account, checkout, or payment are deleted after 90 days of inactivity. Bound but unpaid referral records are deleted after 365 days of inactivity. Fulfilled or void referral records and their resolved operational audit records are deleted after 730 days, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for billing, tax, fraud prevention, a dispute, security, or another legal obligation. Unresolved payment or reversal reviews remain until resolved. Security, billing, tax, and legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary. You may request deletion of your account data at any time; we will delete it except where we must retain records for billing, tax, security, or legal purposes.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for visitor connections, restricted server access, and other reasonable safeguards to protect data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a secure email account, since sign-in links are delivered by email.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the updated version at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
